Emine Fidan Elcioglue – “Progressive, But Privileged: Pro-Immigrant Activists and Their Quest to be Responsible Allies”

The Race, Ethnicity and Immigration Workshop offers faculty and graduate students the opportunity to discuss and get feedback on their ongoing work, to know what others in the department working in the subfield are doing, and for graduate students who are starting the program to see how research is done in practice. We welcome any work that is related to race, ethnicity and/or immigration, and welcome different theoretical and methodological approaches, as well as to different stages of writing, from earlier drafts to more polished work. Please contact Luisa Farah Schwartzman if you wish to join the mailing list and/or would like to have your work in progress discussed at the workshop, either this Fall or in the Winter term.
