All graduate students are invited to attend a presentation by Professor Tina Fetner from McMaster University about the place of social media in the professional lives of academic sociologists. This ½ day event intersperses quiet, uninterrupted writing time with the opportunity to work with colleagues and Sherri on pieces of writing. While graduate students might use this time to work on a dissertation chapter, they might also use it to work on a post-doc or fellowship proposal, or on an article for publication.
