Professor Brent Berry researches health inequalities. He is interested in how complex casual processes operate over time to shape stratification and inequality, and is known for using innovative methods to provide a fresh perspective on old problems. His interests include physical activity, food marketing aimed at children, race and ethnic relations, housing, and segregation. He is also interested in the impact of economic stress on demographic patterns and on health outcomes. His research is supported by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada.
