Kayla Preston wins Graduate Research Grant from the Centre for the Study of the United States

Congratulations to PhD candidate Kayla Preston on receiving a 2024-25 Graduate Research Grant for the Study of the United States. The grant, which is awarded by the Centre for the Study of the United States (CSUS) at the Munk School of Global Affairs & Public Policy, assists in funding the dissertation research of graduate students whose projects center American Studies or the study of the United States. Kayla Preston receives this grant in support of her research examining youth social movement organizations in the United States in the Fall 2024 semester.

Kayla Preston is a PhD candidate in the Department of Sociology. Her research examines far-right extremism in Canada and the United States. She is currently studying how youths become involved in and work to uphold far right youth organizations.
