We welcome Assistant Professor Jordan Brensinger to the St. George Department of Sociology. Dr. Brensinger joins us from the Center for Information Technology Policy at Princeton University, where he was Postdoctoral Research Associate. Professor Brensinger studies how organizations manage people using data and technology, and how this shapes everyday life. His current research, a book project supported by the National Science Foundation, examines how identity theft cases are resolved. Prof. Brensinger aims to understand how victims and professionals navigate identity theft and data disputes, connecting organizations’ use of data and technology with the lived experiences of individuals affected.
Professor Brensinger’s research is supported by the National Science Foundation. His work has appeared in Sociological Theory and the American Sociological Review.
